Paragon Insurance Holdings, LLC, (Paragon) a national managing general agency, announced today it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the renewal rights of Alteris’ Strategic Markets East (SME) programs from Alteris Insurance Services, Inc., an Argo Group US, Inc. company.
The Strategic Markets East programs include: Busgard (student transportation contractors), Splash (Fuel oil dealers), PowerWrap (Propane dealers), and SeptiCover (septic contractors and portable sanitation). All the acquired programs are backed by an AM Best “A” rated insurance carrier. Paragon will assume the responsibility for renewing and servicing SME policies effective June 29, 2015.
In conjunction with this acquisition, Bernie Deuster, VP of SM at Alteris and selected members of Alteris will join Paragon. “This acquisition continues to diversify our product offerings, and we are very excited about the opportunity it brings to broaden and strengthen our distribution network” said Ron Ganiats, Paragon Managing Partner. “We are pleased to welcome Bernie and the SME team members to Paragon.”
